New Meter Requirements from the U.S. Postal Service Meter Migration & Decertification Mandates

Eagle Business Systems, Inc., wants to provide you with important information about the upcoming decertification and meter replacement deadlines established by the U.S. Postal Service. Please note that USPS decertification involves two distinct mandates (with separate deadlines) regarding all rotary postage meters. The first, known as Phase 3 , requires all rotary meters without an automatic shut-off capacity (timeout feature) to be removed from service by December 31, 2006. The second mandate, Phase 4 , requires all security enhanced rotary meters be upgraded to digital meters by December 31, 2008.
